How to make/edit timetables & import timetables
TimetableTo make timetables for your route, whether your using it to recreate a real route or for your fictional route, firstly you must open your companies page and then click on the route you want to edit.
After this, what you want to do is click on the button that says "Timetable options". This will bring you to the page where you can add and edit your routes timetables.
On this page there will be 4 options, 2 for inbound and 2 for outbound. The top one says "Add new inbound/outbound timetable" and the bottom one says "Import BusTimes inbound/outbound timetable".
If you wish to make your own timetable, you will click on the first inbound option, and after you have finished making the inbound timetable you will also complete the outbound timetable likewise.
The first thing you will see on the timetable page is a menu with days on it. You can select these to decide what days your timetable will run. If you click on a day, it will select one day. If you hold CTRL and click you can select multiple days, and if you hold shift and click you can also select multiple days in one go (example if you clicked Monday, held shift and clicked Friday it would pick all days Mon-Fri)
Then, you also have auto fill options, which are optional. To use this, first put in the start then end time. And then you can fill in the intervals which decides how long the gaps between services will be. And then auto fill offsets will automatically fill how long it takes between each stop, so if you chose 1 there would be 1 minute between each stop.
You can also edit this yourself without autofill by typing in the numbers, which is useful if stops have bigger gaps between them than other stops.
If you have an existing timetable, you are also able to edit this. Just go to the timetable options page, look for the timetable you want to edit and click "Edit".
You are able to change which days the timetable will run, and also you can change what times a specific service will arrive at that stop, which provides a more in-depth service instead of making every service taking the exact same amount of time.
Then, there is the Import BusTimes timetable option. To do this, you first need to open bustimes.org and then search for the route you are looking for (You are also able to import timetables from transportthing.uk in the same way as I am about to show you).
Once you have found your route, select which day's timetable you want (example Monday-Friday, Saturday or Sunday).
Once you have done this, you then copy the link and then paste it into the box where it asks for the link of the timetable, and you can, like a normal timetable, select which days it will run (example if the timetable you copied is a Sunday timetable, you would select Sunday).
That's all for now, Generic out!
