Operator Updates for SouthStar on the Isle of Wight
Update: Due to a one-way traffic management system being put in place between Cowes and Newport, starting Monday, January 26, and running until Friday, April 17, we are making temporary changes to several routes. Routes 1A & 1B - Buses will be diverted from St Mary's Junction via Forest Road, Whitehouse Road, Rolls Hill, and Pallance Lane before returning to the normal route. This will operate in both directions. All services will operate via Round House and run as Route 1 during this period. Route 1C - This shuttle connects Cowes, Park & Ride, and Northwood in a loop. It will follow the normal Route 1 until Noke Common, then continue down Noke Common to Cowes Road, operating as a standard 1B service back to Cowes. Route 1D - This shuttle connects Newport with St Mary's Hospital and Parkhurst. It will follow Route 1 up to St Mary's Hospital, turn around, and return to Newport. Routes 51, 57 & N1 - Will follow the daytime diversion between Newport and Cowes. No other changes will apply.
