Operator Updates for Bluestar & UniLink
Update: Due to the closure of Bargate Street for this year's Christmas Market, there will be some route changes in the city centre from Friday 7 November - Friday 9 January. Please read carefully below to make sure you're aware of any changes to the routes you use. Bluestar 1, 2, N1 & N2: Towards Winchester/Fair Oak, buses will start from a temporary stop outside Bella Italia and will then continue their normal routes from Above Bar onwards. Towards City Centre, buses will not serve Civic Centre, ASDA/Marlands, West Quay or Hanover Buildings. Instead after Guildhall Square, they will drop off at Above Bar and a temporary stop at Bella Italia. Bluestar 3 & 16: Towards Hedge End/Townhill Park, buses will start from Above Bar and go via Vincents Walk and Palmerston Road before continuing their normal routes from Solent University. Normal stops at Bargate Street, ASDA/Marlands, Civic Centre and Park Walk won't be served. Towards City Centre, buses will terminate at Above Bar. Bluestar 10, 13, 17 & N17: In both directions, buses will divert between Vincents Walk and Bernard Street not serving West Quay or Holyrood Church. Bluestar 14 & 18: From City towards Bitterne, buses will divert after Vincents Walk via Palmerston Road and will continue their normal routes from Solent University. Normal stops at Bargate Street, ASDA/Marlands, Civic Centre and Park Walk won't be served. Buses are unaffected from Bitterne towards City Centre. Bluestar N18: From City towards Thornhill, buses will start from Vincents Walk and go via Palmerston Road before continuing normal route from Solent University. Normal stops at Bargate Street, ASDA/Marlands, Civic Centre and Park Walk won't be served. Buses are unaffected towards Millbrook Bluestar 15: Towards Hamble, buses will serve Central Station, Above Bar and Vincents Walk as normal, then will divert to continue on the normal route from Bernard Street. Normal stops at West Quay and Holyrood Church will not be served. Buses are unaffected towards City Centre. Bluestar 19/19a: In both directions, buses will divert between Vincents Walk and High Street/Telephone House via Queensway and Briton Street. Normal stops at West Quay and Holyrood Church will not be served.
Update: Bluestar 7,13,15,17, N17 & 19/19A DIVERSION-Itchen Bridge night works from Monday 11th August 2025 Mon to Fri between 20:00-06:00 for 7 months. All services will divert in both directions NON STOP between Central Bridge and Woolston via Northam, Bitterne and Peartree Avenue to Woolston. Please note that all services will return to their normal routes when/if the bridge is open. We apologise for any inconvenience.
